VZ Receives Award for Excellence in Health and Safety – Products

On March 13, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt in Denver, Colorado the 2013 Rocky Mountain Awards Gala Dinner was hosted by the Oil & Gas Awards.

The annual conference is a platform for the oil and gas industry to demonstrate and celebrate the advances made in the key areas of environmental stewardship, efficiency, innovation, corporate social responsibility, health and safety.

VZ Environmental’s silica dust filtering product VSoxz was a finalist for the Award for Excellence in Health and Safety – Products Category.

VSoxz was developed to reduce the amount of airborne particulates released into the atmosphere during oil and gas operations.

The particulates are often vented through the inspection hatches in the roof or through the side wall ports of dry bulk storage units during pneumatic loading of the proppant material from a pneumatic trailer via air pressure ducted into the bulk storage unit.

Due to its lightweight design, VSoxz is easy to deploy. Simple fastening system secures the VSoxz to the inspection hatch. No modification of the hatch is needed to accept the VSoxz. No additional structure is needed to support the VSoxz.

VSoxz Is Cost Effective

VSoxz design allows it to be simply cleaned with fresh water and reused many times. Due to its lightweight construction, no heavy equipment or additional tools are needed for installation. The off-loading time of pneumatic trailers are not adversely affected.
