Eagle Ford Shale Drilling & Fracing Time-lapse Video

There’s a saying that “things are bigger in Texas”. We Texans believe it to be true. There is no disputing that the Gas and Oil industry is BIG in Texas and makes a significant contribution to the states economy.

A large area of Texas is home to active shale plays that are drilled for their oil and gas deposits. Those of us that live in the city areas with active shale plays see the familiar temporary, square-walled structures go up during the process. Most cities and companies involved desire to make the project as non-disruptive as possible to the community.

What Goes On Behind The Curtain?

If you’ve ever wanted a birds-eye view of what is taking place behind the curtain, Marathon Oil has put together a time-lapse video showing the start-to-finish process at an Eagle Ford well they completed in Kames County, Texas.

Marathon Oil Is Committed To Environmental Safety

How do we know that?

Because Marathon Oil has partnered with VZ Environmental to provide oilfield secondary spill containment services on several projects. Including the one in this video!

You can see our VMatz spill containments appear around the 00:59 mark labeled as ‘completion’ in the video. VZ Environmental provided secondary spill containment service from the Rig Up through Rig Down on this project.
